OUR IMPACT
A message from our Managing Partner
As we celebrate the impact of Strategic Engagement Limited, I am both humbled and inspired by the transformation we have witnessed—not only within our firm but also in the lives and institutions we have had the privilege to serve. What began as a bold vision to redefine consultancy in Uganda has grown into a dynamic force for organizational transformation across Africa.
Over the past decade, we have partnered with over 120 organisations, impacted more than 25,000 individuals, and supported over 80 SMEs in building their capabilities. From government agencies to multinational NGOs, SMEs to corporate giants, our work has consistently focused on unlocking human potential, strengthening systems, and building resilient, future-ready institutions.
Whether delivering customized learning and development programs, driving organizational development and restructuring, or championing employee wellness and psychosocial support, our approach has remained grounded in empathy, evidence, and excellence. We are especially proud of our contributions to road safety, workforce readiness, and enterprise development, empowering communities and creating dignified opportunities for youth, women, and marginalized groups.
Our strength lies in our people. I thank our team of passionate consultants and professionals—whose dedication, innovation, and integrity have earned us the trust and respect of our clients. I also express heartfelt gratitude to our clients and partners—your confidence has been our greatest endorsement and your success, our truest impact.
As we look ahead, we are more committed than ever to building a legacy of purpose-driven consulting—where transformation is sustainable, impact is measurable, and people remain at the center of everything we do.

OUR PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- We supported a major FMCG company in Uganda to develop and strengthen their HR policies and internal structures. Our intervention included reviewing their existing practices, aligning them with labor laws and operational goals, and equipping their HR team with tools for sustainable people management.
- We worked with a leading international NGO to design and deliver wellness and psychosocial support programs for their Uganda and regional staff. This involved conducting wellness assessments, organizing mental health awareness sessions, and training internal wellness champions to support a culture of care and resilience.
- For an organisation in the oil and gas sector, we provided outsourcing services for professional and semi-skilled drivers, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols and operational standards. Beyond sourcing, we also trained and supported the drivers through continuous capacity-building programs and welfare monitoring systems.
- We helped a national government ministry conduct a full organizational and functional review, including a manpower audit, job evaluation, and restructuring exercise. This enabled the ministry to improve service delivery by realigning its workforce to strategic goals and eliminating duplication of roles.
- We partnered with a local commercial bank to review and enhance their performance management system. Our team facilitated staff engagement sessions, redesigned the appraisal process, and trained management on feedback, goal setting, and coaching for performance.
- Through collaboration with a vocational training initiative, we trained over 1,500 youth in work readiness and employability skills. The program bridged the gap between technical education and workplace expectations, resulting in improved job placement and career growth for the participants.
- We helped a manufacturing company conduct a culture and employee engagement assessment that revealed deep insights into morale, motivation, and productivity. Based on findings, we co-designed interventions to strengthen leadership behavior and create a more inclusive workplace culture.
- We worked with a Ugandan NGO to design and implement a supplier development program targeting youth- and women-owned businesses. Our role involved delivering entrepreneurship training, facilitating market linkages, and providing coaching on procurement standards and growth strategies.
- We supported a private university to review its academic and administrative structure, streamline roles, and implement a job grading system. This improved internal efficiency and helped attract and retain qualified staff through competitive and transparent HR practices.
- As part of a donor-funded SME program, we provided business development support to over 50 small enterprises, helping them with business planning, access to finance, and operational improvements. Several of these businesses have since scaled and formalized their operations.
- In a rural district, we led a community capacity building initiative focused on leadership development, local governance, and service delivery. We worked closely with local councils and community-based organizations to build sustainable systems of engagement and accountability.
- We were engaged by a telecom company to train and equip middle and senior management on change management, especially during a period of digital transformation. Our support helped the company navigate resistance, align teams, and reinforce a culture of agility and innovation.
- We supported a government ministry to restructure its departments, evaluate roles, and realign reporting lines, helping them operate more efficiently and deliver better services to citizens. Similarly, we helped an NGO redefine its organizational structure, enabling clearer workflows and improved program delivery.
- We’ve designed and facilitated tailored capacity-building programs for NGOs, corporates, and government entities—ranging from leadership development and team building to emotional intelligence, project management, and inclusive leadership. One regional development agency benefited from our immersive training sessions that upskilled over 200 staff members across East Africa.
- In partnership with an international NGO, we rolled out a comprehensive employee wellness and psychosocial support framework, offering mental health training, one-on-one counselling, and crisis support during COVID-19 and beyond. This significantly improved staff morale, retention, and overall mental well-being.
- In collaboration with local partners, we trained thousands of youths in hands-on skills such as tailoring, welding, carpentry, and ICT. Many of these trainees were later placed in jobs or started their own businesses, creating a ripple effect of economic empowerment.
- Through our Soft Skills & Employability Bootcamps, we prepared fresh graduates and early-career professionals to transition into the workforce. These programs focused on communication, ethics, teamwork, time management, and job-seeking strategies.
Let us help your business move forward.
