COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING
Community Capacity Building is a process that strengthens the skills, knowledge, and resources of individuals and groups within a community to enable them to effectively address their challenges and achieve sustainable development. By empowering communities, this approach promotes self-reliance, resilience, and active participation in decision-making, leading to improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes.
HOW WE BUILD CAPABILITIES
Empower community leaders with decision-making, transparency, and resource management skills.
Help set up systems of accountability, leadership succession, and legal compliance.
Train community members on planning, organizing, and executing local initiatives.
Evaluate existing capacities and identify areas for organizational growth.
Build basic budgeting, savings, and income-generation skills among individuals and community groups.
Support CBOs in writing proposals, maintaining records, and seeking funding.
Educate communities on their rights, responsibilities, and participation in governance processes.
Focus on career planning, decision-making, sexual and reproductive health, and self-confidence.
Assist with establishing and registering CBOs, cooperatives, or associations.
Build women’s capacity in leadership, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.
